Rolling Over!

Here is a Video of Hadassah rolling over!

Every Girl Needs a Good Pair of Jeans!

Today was a WONDERFUL cooler day here in Georgia. I took the opportunity to put Hadassah in her first pair of jeans!
Too cute!

New Adventure and Dinner with Ashley & Abby

I decided to take Hadassah to Line Creek Nature Trail to walk around and to get some pictures of her at 5 months. It was the perfect cool day with just the right amount of breeze. I was amazed at how much she had grown. Not just in size but no longer can I just place her somewhere for a picture. Now she is rolling over and is trying to discover the world around her - by mouth! We had a great time. There are more pictures posted on our website as well as on facebook. Enjoy!

My favorite!!! I love the contrast of soft and hard in the picture above.

First sign of fall - the leaves are turning yellow
All that picture taking makes me tired!
After our time on the nature trail I put some new batteries in Hadassah's mobile. She was so excited to have her old buddies back!
Later that evening my dear friend Ashley came over with her little girl Abby. Hadassah and Abby had a great time with one another.

What a great way to end the evening.

Yesterday...

Yesterday I decided to make some apple baby food. I was so pleased with the way it turned out. Right before I poured it into the tray Haddie woke up.
Apple Baby Food - Ready to be eaten!
As i started to pour the food this was the look I got from Haddie. I am blown away by how smart she is. She already knew that it was her food.
So...we both had a bite! It is now both mom and kid tested and approved!

Time for Bed...

Haddie and I had a great day today. However, as I was putting Haddie down for the night I started to fall asleep. Now it is almost 10:30 and I am just getting dinner, a bowl of cold cereal. Sorry Michael. Tomorrow I will eat a proper meal.

More to come tomorrow! Good night!!

Long Night - Fun Day

After a LONG night (only 4 hours of sleep) I decided that I needed to at least get one thing done during the day. Room of choice...the Master bathroom. Here are some before pictures.

Thankfully Grandma Susan (Washington) sent a package which had a puppet for Haddie to play with. I was very thankful for the time to clean and organize. Haddie enjoyed her time with the bunny.

I am very pleased with the end result. Even though I have not really decorated it, everything is put away and I can find what I need each morning. A huge bonus when I am trying to get out the door with Michael not here to help.

Haddie and I ended our day with a coffee date with Jill McAfee at Starbucks. It was a much needed break from the house and a very special time of fellowship. Even though we were supposed to get together for coffee right after Haddie was born, I think God knew that I was going to need it today!!!
Well...I hope that tonight I am able to get some more sleep. I think Haddie is missing her daddy. She knows that something is not quite right and had a much harder time at night. Michael normally does her night time routine. Please pray for her (and for me) as we work through this rough evenings. On top of that I think that she is teething. All that combined with a VERY strong will makes for some tough nights. God is faithful to meet us where we are and to give us the strength that we need to get through each day. Praise the Lord!

Bath Time!!

Haddie thought it was so funny when I dropped some water on her face. I had to capture her having a blast in the tub. This is one of her favorite places to be! What a silly girl.

A Busy Labor Day!!

Haddie has been starting solid food (which she LOVES). There are some unusual foods coming up like papaya and parsnip. So...I thought today would be a great day to go stock up at the Worlds Farmers Market. They have just about anything you can think of and of course many things you have never heard of. An added bonus is that you can't find a better price anywhere else on most things there and the food stays fresh a lot longer. I have really enjoyed making Haddie's food. It not only saves a lot of money and waste but tastes a whole lot better.
Haddie enjoyed her morning nap on the way up to the Farmers Market. I enjoyed taking my time getting there as I listened to some good music.
Here we are heading into the Farmers Market. Haddie LOVED looking around at all the people as well as all the colors from the fruits and veggies.

After the Farmers Market we went over to the Hick's for a Labor Day BBQ/Hang out. It was great having a conversation with someone who can actually talk back to me. With Michael out of town this was a special treat. When we got back home Haddie had a great time cooling off in her bath. I will post a video of her in the tub.

After a long day, Haddie was ready for bed and so am I!

Hadassah Laughing - 5months old

This is the tail end of Haddie laughing. I wish I would have got the first part on video. Oh well. She fills my days with joy!

Going to Church

Always smiling!!!
Today I had fun at Church in the nursery. There are always lots of other friends to play with and nice ladies who watch me while mom and dad are at church. After church today mom gave me my first taste of pears. Boy did I like that! I can't wait to get pears again.

After church we went to Starbucks with mom's friend Ashley. When we got home I got to talk with my daddy on Skype. It was so much fun to interact with him. I kept wanting to touch him but mom said he was all the way in Germany. That is so funny because it looked like he was right here in my house. After I talked with Dad I went for a walk around our new neighborhood. I think I am going to like living here.

I wonder what I will get to do tomorrow???

Carrots!!

Here is Haddie having carrots for the first time!

Good Night Daddy

Hey Daddy! Just wanted to say hi. I hope you are having a good flight to Germany. I missed bath and story time with you tonight but Mom did a good job in your place. I had a battle with the little duck and won!! I also tried to figure out how I could eat my toe while it was still under water. Mom said it doesn't really work that way. I can't wait to talk with you when you get a chance. Keep looking here for more pictures and movies of my time with mom! Sleep well.

xoxo
